A New Yorker in Lavaux

2 weeks ago a ferocious -and dashing- music critic from the New York Daily News (that's RIGHT, it's a newspaper from New York, well done) was travelling on a writing jaunt through Switzerland. Sort of a blitz-trip, but Jim (that's his name, more about him here) arranged to stop by Lavaux to have a stroll through the vineyards, gaze at howlingly old buildings, weep over vintage wines and generally despair over our swiss tidiness.

We were welcomed by Christophe Chappuis in Rivaz (www.domainechappuis.ch) and then took time to visit the Vinorama (www.lavaux-vinorama.ch/) before careening back to Vevey.
