What a fantastic day to stroll through the burgeoning vines! An english-speaking company based in Geneva came to visit Lavaux after hiring a CGN (Compagnie Générale de Navigation) boat from Geneva. After a meal on-board the ship, they were welcomed by 3 GPLs (Guide Patrimoine Lavaux) at Rivaz, as they stepped off the boat!
They were taken up to Chexbres by bus and then were guided back down to the shores of the lake Leman, with -of course- expert explanations about the history, wines, geology of the Lavaux territory.
Such incredible views!!!
It all ended at the Vinorama (
www.vinorama.ch), with a wine tasting of some of the rarest wines on the planet (I mean planet Earth of course !-)
