Wildland in Wineland!

It was such a beautiful day to go for an exploration hike of Lavaux World Heritage.

Wildland tours directors (http://www.wildland.com/) were thrilled to discover this part of Switzerland during their visit to conceive new adventure trips for their customers.

Here we are starting out down from Grandvaux train station to Riex and Epesses.

A rest in Epesses to enjoy a wine tasting session with welcoming Patrick Fonjallaz (http://www.patrick-fonjallaz.ch), the owner of this delightfully located property overlooking the wide expanses of Lac Leman.

Time to get our feet moving again, here are our two friendly americans on their way to the next amazing discovery: the Dezaley "appellation" territory, where slopes average 42° (no that's not the alcool in the wine!-)

THIS is what we call STEEP! And still, the vineyard is being actively developed, since the 12th century!

Another splendid view over the lake towards the Alps in the background.

The day continued with a fantastic meal at Baron Tavernier (http://www.barontavernier.ch/), and ended on top of the Rochers de Naye (over 2000 m altitude) .... no we didn't walk up, we took the train (http://www.goldenpass.ch/)!

The tour was organised by Montreux Vevey Tourisme (http://www.montreuxriviera.com), and led by Matthew (GPL, www.walkandtalk.ch)
